"Serbian Techno legends Concrete Djz are landing on Renegade Methodz.

With a legacy built on years of emblematic record releases and local as well as international activity the Serbian techno renegades are returning in 2024 with their ‘Magnetic Light Of Mind’ EP proving their capability to remain unquestionably on form.
Balancing raw 90’s influences and contemporary depth while demonstrating their masterful understanding and control of the genre’s fundamentals, the result is a lasting record, past trends, reflecting on what can be achieved with experience and deep knowledge of the craft.

Raw energy with a clear focus into true techno territories is evident across the 4-Track EP.
Dynamic, looping, booming grooves that are counterbalanced by an apprehensive tension from off-key tones - the essential foundations of techno. Here is a solid techno release with a range of moods from dark and driving to more energizing and uplifting that can cover various key moments in a dj set.

Opening the A side, fierce workout ’Stega’ sets the tone with a big, breathtaking groove and fearless attitude. Sleek synth stabs, raw percussive elements and a rumbling low end with enormous strength is keeping the excitement high and the dancefloor utterly engaged - a worthy first impression.

‘Balancing Forces’ begins explosively full-on, showcasing sinister driving energy with a raw frenetic groove providing discerning DJs with an effective weapon that locks in the crowd for good.
On the B side, ‘Panopticon’ is bringing the dark, atmospheric sound with a distinct less-is-more approach to production that results in a stripped-down yet unrelenting techno track with its restraint arrangement that’s complemented by the constant evolving haunting synth.

Closing off the EP, ‘Dual Frame’ breaks the floor with infused metallic textures and trippy, headier elements that adds depth to the chunky and driving drums that are powering the body. A bold techno track that is gripping the listener until the very end with its consistent progression through a simplistic albeit powerful composure, offering a vicious conclusion to a record filled with energy and suspense.

A perfect debut on the label by the Serbian icons with a massive four-tracker of pure bred techno ready for the dance floor, channeling classic sounds in an elegant, reduced fashion to show us that their sound has yet sonic variations that are worth unearthing."
